About the Author
Joni Batterbee is an educator, former substitute teacher, special education Paraprofessional, homeschool parent, and author dedicated to helping students discover the joy of reading. Drawing from years of experience working with diverse learners, she created the Status Connected Series to inspire literacy, critical thinking, empathy, and community engagement among middle school readers. Through engaging characters and meaningful stories, Joni hopes to encourage students to recognize the power of connection, kindness, and life long learning.
